ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed by a retired Conductor of the Transport Corporation seeking a Mandamus to direct the respondent to pay the interest for the belated settlement of terminal benefits.
2. The petitioner had attained superannuation on 31.05.2022. His terminal benefits were released only on 05.06.2023. The petitioner has sent a representation on 24.06.2023 seeking interest for the belated disbursement of the retirement benefits.
3. Considering the above said facts, the 1st respondent herein is directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the period between 01.06.2022 and 04.06.2023 within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
