ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner is a registered society. They seek to take a group of people to attend the death anniversary function of the late Shri.Immanuel Sekaran at Paramakudi on 11.09.2025. For this purpose, they intend to hire a bus from Theni to Paramakudi on the said date. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner points out that taxies are not permitted to operate in Paramakudi on the said date. 4.The petitioner had approached the respondent transport corporation for hiring a bus. The officials of the transport corporation had stated that only if they get clearance from the District Collector, they would be able to spare a bus and not otherwise. 3/6

5.I am clearly of the view that to take a decision on these matters, clearance from the District Collector is not necessary. The petitioner is ready to abide by any condition that may be stipulated by the second respondent.

6.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) representing the jurisdictional Police voiced his apprehensions. 7.Considering the special facts and circumstances of this case, I direct the respondents 2 and 3 to spare a public bus for the writ petitioner so as to enable them to attend the petition mentioned event. 8.This Writ Petition is allowed accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
