This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.08.2024 seeking to correct his date of birth in the Aadhar Card as 10.08.2005 instead of 10.08.2006.

2. The petitioner after completion of his school studies, while verifying his records, found that his date of birth was wrongly entered as 10.08.2006. As per the birth certificate, his date of birth is 10.08.2005. Therefore, he submitted a representation to the authorities concerned seeking to correct his date of birth in the school certificate, including mark sheet. However, the said representation was not considered and hence, he filed a writ petition in W.P.(MD) No.27723 of 2023 before this Court and this Court, by order dated 14.12.2023, directed the authority concerned to correct the petitioner's date of birth in the certificates and issue a revised mark sheet and other educational certificates to him. However, the petitioner had failed to correct his date of birth in the Aadhar Card, wherein also, his date of birth has been wrongly mentioned as 10.08.2006 instead of 10.08.2005. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before the respondents. Since the same has not been considered by the respondents, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. A perusal of the birth certificate of the petitioner issued by Gudalur Municipality, Theni District, shows that the date of birth of the petitioner is 10.08.2005. There is no dispute or quarrel over that. Therefore, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's application, change his date of birth as 10.08.2005 and issue a fresh Aadhar Card to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 07.11.2024 NCC :
