This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus, directing the the District Collector, Ramanathapuram District to disburse the Crop Insurance Amount to the petitioner as per Pradhan Mandir Fasal Bima Yojana Scheme (PMFBY) by considering his representation dated 24.10.2019.

2.When this writ petition was taken up for hearing on 24.01.2024 and 31.01.2024 there was no representation for the petitioner. Therefore, this writ petition was ordered to be listed today under the caption 'for dismissal'. Even today, there is no representation for the petitioner.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents based on the written instructions, dated 15.12.2023 provided to him submits that the petitioner is not the owner of the subject land and no crops have been cultivated in the subject land. The written instructions has also been produced before this Court.
