PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the office bearers and Members of the petitioner's Association namely, 'Tamil Nadu Government Department Drivers Association' For Petitioner :Mr.S.Gokulraj For R1 to R3 :Mr.M.Sakthi Kumar Government Advocate (Crl.side) For R4 to R7 : Mr.A.Arunprasad

O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the office bearers and Members of the petitioner's Association namely, 'Tamil Nadu Government Department Drivers Association'

2. The issue between the present Office Bearers of the Society and the erstwhile Office Bearers of the Society.

3.According to the petitioner, the private respondents herein have prevented the present Office Bearers of the Society to enter into the 2/4

building by locking the office of the Association. Because of that, the petitioner sent a representation to the first respondent seeking police protection on 15.10.2023 and the same was forwarded to the third respondent. But, there was no action.

4. Since the Association of building has been locked by the private respondents, remedy available to the petitioner is elsewhere. There is no question of intervention by the police in the affairs of the Association.

5. Let the representation made by the petitioner dated 15.10.2023 be closed by advising them to work out their remedy through appropriate proceedings.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
