ORDER

Heard both sides.

2. The prayer is for clearing the encroachments in the supply channel to Aranayur Kanmoi. The photographs produced before us clearly indicate that there are encroachments. It is the duty of the respondents herein to ensure that the encroachments are cleared and free flow of water through the channel is maintained for all times to come. Immediate steps shall be taken.

3. The writ petition is allowed. No costs.
