4. Mr.J.Ashok, learned Additional Government Pleader will specifically confirm what the procedure is prior to issuance of FL-2 Licence and whether the Tamil Nadu Liquor (Licence and Permit) Rules, 1981, provide for receipt of objections by an aggrieved party and the manner of disposal of the same.

3. The prayer is for a mandamus forbearing R1 from granting FL-2 Licence to the 9th respondent club.

4. Today, Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader, has written instructions to the effect that several objections were received to the proposal for issuance of FL-2 Licence having regard to which the application of R9 for grant of FL-2 Licence has been rejected. We record this submission.

5. In light of the fact that mandamus now stands achieved by virtue of the rejection as aforesaid, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
