ORDER
The petitioner has filed this petition seeking a direction to set aside the closure report, dated 07.02.2025 on the file of the 2nd respondent police.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite his complaint disclosing a cognizable offence, the respondents Police did not act upon the same and without conducting a proper investigation, they filed a closure report on 07.02.2025. According to the petitioner, even before registration of the FIR, his complaint was closed by the respondents.
3. This Court is of the view that the Code of Criminal Procedure provides a mechanism to address such issues. The petitioner ought to have approached the jurisdictional Magistrate seeking registration of the complaint, if any cognizable offence was made out in the said complaint.
