ORDER

The petitioners, who are arrayed as accused in C.C.No.451 of 2024 on the file of the District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate Court, Kariapatti, have filed the present petition seeking a direction to the said Court to expedite and complete the trial in C.C.No.451 of 2024.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that in C.C.No.451 of 2024, the next hearing is fixed by the learned Magistrate on 29.09.2025 and L.W.1 to L.W.5 have already been summoned.

3. The Hon'ble Supreme Court has held that no particular case can be given special treatment by issuing directions for fixing time limit for completion of the trial. Hence, direction for fixing a date for completion of trial cannot be granted. However, taking into account the fact that out of eight witnesses, L.W.1 to L.W.5 have already been summoned by the prosecution, the learned District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Kariapatti, may consider expeditious disposal of C.C.No.451 of 2024.

4. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
