O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to grant permanent status to the petitioner and to pay arrears of salary to him from 01.04.2003 as per the settlement entered into with the Management under Section 12(3) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, based on the petitioner's representation dated 19.02.2020, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Till date, counter has not been filed by the respondents.

3. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the aforesaid representation of the petitioner is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents has also not raised any serious objection, if such a direction is issued to the respondents.

5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation, as it is for the respondents to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner's representation dated 19.02.2020, seeking for grant of permanent status and for payment of arrears of salary from 01.04.2003 as per the settlement entered into with the Management under Section 12(3) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
