Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to grant permission to replace the old Cement Full Size statue of Thiyagi Immanuvel Sekaranar Statue situated in Town Survey No. 360, Block No.16, Ward-C i.e.Amman Pottal Street, Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar District into Full Size Bronze Statue based on his representation dated 08.06.2023 submitted to the second respondent in person.

ORDER

Heard both sides.

2. All that the petitioner wants is replacement of the existing statue with a new one. The existing statue is made of cement. The proposed one is made of bronze. No exception can be taken to the petitioner's request. It is also stated that there is no law and order issue. 2/4

3. I direct the first respondent to grant permission to the petitioner as sought for. Such proceedings shall be issued by the first respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. This writ petition is allowed accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
