2. The petitioner seeks disbursement of crop compensation for the petition-mentioned year. Since there was some serious doubt regarding the petitioner's title, her request was originally rejected. But then, it was reconsidered. The District Level Grievance Redressal Committee headed by the District Collector passed the resolution in favour of the petitioner on 27.09.2022. The relief discussed reads as follows:- "7. Discussion on the petition received from Mrs.S.Jeyam (a) Ulagammal 2/6

Petition received from Thirumathi.S.Jeyam (a) Ulagammal, W/o.Sundararajan, Kottakudi(Crop Village;
Kanattankudi, Tiruvadanai Taluk states that she has not received the compensation amount for her crop insurance application (No.1039168622) of 2017-18.
It was placed before the Committee that AICIL, Chennai has requested the District Collector / Chairman-DLMC to verify the land details of 501 No. of farmers in 2017-18 including this application by Revenue Department. And the verification committee headed by Tahsildar, Tiruvadanai has given its observation that "Discrepancies found in documents, Aadhar Card and Bank account details are in the name of Jeyam, Land Records are in the name of Ulagammal. Hence claim may be REJECTED". Consolidated report has been 3/6
4 W.P.(MD)NO.25510 OF 2023 sent to AICIL, Chennai by District Collector and AICIL has taken a decision and released compensation to the eligible farmers based on the verification report.
But when the aggrieved farmer approached Tahsildar, Tiruvadanai for clarification of her case, Tahsildar, Tiruvadanai has submitted a revised letter to DDA-PA(Agri) on 16.06.2020(attached now with the petition) stating that "Mrs.Jeyam W/o.Sundararajan and Mrs.Ulagammal the patta holder are same. Hence the farmer enrolled crop insurance for an area of 4.98 Ha is CORRECT."
The issue was discussed in details and various members of the committee expressed their opinion on this case and Chairman-DGRC/ District Collector has requested AICIL, Chennai to consider the case and accept the revised findings of the verification committee and the report given by Tahsildar, Tiruvadanai, in order to safeguard the interest of the farmer."

3. A copy of the minutes signed on 18.10.2022 has been placed for my perusal. But the learned Standing counsel appearing for the Agricultural Insurance Corporation of India points out that during the deliberations, the representative of the insurance company was not present.
4. I am satisfied that this submission is correct. Therefore, in the next committee meeting of the District Level Grievance Redressal Committee, Ramanathapuram, the case of the petitioner will be once again taken up. It shall be ensured that the representative of the Agricultural Insurance Corporation of India is also present. The rights of the petitioner will abide by the decision to be taken in the said meeting. Before it is convened, due intimation will be sent to the petitioner so that she can also be present before the committee meeting. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
