O R D E R

By this Writ Petition, the petitioner seeks consideration of the representation dated 02.06.2025 to cancel patta No.2652, which was granted to the fifth respondent.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner relies on the order dated 20.08.2010 of the Revenue Divisional Officer. Since the patta was granted erroneously to the fifth respondent, he submits that the representation was given for the cancellation of such patta.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for respondents 1 to 4. He submits that the request for cancellation of patta would be considered and disposed of on merits within twelve weeks from 2/5

the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The petitioner has placed on record the sale deed under which his father purchased the property from one Chitra. The legal heirship certificate in respect of the petitioner's father has also been placed on record. In the circumstances, it is just and necessary that the petitioner's application be considered on merits after providing a reasonable opportunity to the fifth respondent. Since the third respondent is being directed to provide a reasonable opportunity to the fifth respondent, notice to the fifth respondent is dispensed with.

Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits, the third respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 02.06.2025 and dispose of the same within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the fifth respondent and other legal heirs of late C.V.K.Murugesan.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
