For Petitioner : Mr.T.Tamilyazhini For Respondents : Mr.S.Muthukumar for R1 Mr.P.Karthick for R2 and R3

ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner is a twelve year old child. She appears to be quite proficient in shooting. She participated in the competition organized by CBSE. Since her school had by mistake sponsored her under "below 17 years category", she participated under that category. But the results were not fruitful. The school as well as the parents realized that if the petitioner's performance is considered under "below 14 years category", she would be able to make it to the national level. In these circumstances, this writ petition has been filed.

3.The learned standing counsel for CBSE submitted that the alteration cannot be made after the participation in the event and declaration of results. It is unfortunate that mistake was committed by the school management. But then it is too late in the day to undo the same. The petitioner is after all aged about twelve years. She has a glorious future ahead. This writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 12-09-2025 SKM To
