Respondent(in both Petitions) Common Prayer :- These Criminal Original Petition have been filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to set aside the order passed dated 05.07.2019 in Cr.M.P.No.421 of 2018 and Cr.M.P.No.222 of 2019 in Spl.C.No.01 of 2015, on the file of the Special Court for Trial of Cases under Prevention of Corruption Act, Tirunelveli and allow the same.
ORDER:- These Criminal Original Petition coming on for hearing on this day and upon perusing the earlier order of this Court and requisition letter submitted by the Special Judge(FAC), Special Court for Trial of Cases under Prevention of Corruption Act, Tirunelveli and appearance of Mr.K.K.Ramakrishnan, Government Advocate for the respondent, this Court made the following order: The above petition has been listed today under the caption "for extension of time" to dispose of the case in S.C.No.1 of 2015.
2. This Court in Crl.O.P(MD).Nos.18896 and 18899 of 2019 passed an order permitting to recall and cross examine the witnesses PW.2, PW.4 and PW.5 and directed the trial Court to complete the trial on or before 30.03.2020. It is further seen that at the request made by learned Special Judge, time was extended for further six months vide order dated 27.08.2020. The learned Special Judge has now submitted another requisition seeking further time of six months as the trial could not be completed by stating that her predecessor in office has already been promoted and transferred to Coimbatore and that she was holding the additional charge of the Court of the Special Court.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the post of the Special Judge is now vacant.
4. Considering the reasons assigned by the learned Special Judge and the representation of the Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is inclined to grant further time and accordingly, six months time is granted for disposal of the case in S.C.No.1 of 2015.
