ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by the wife of a retired Driver of the respondent Transport Corporation.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the petitioner's husband had attained superannuation under VRS on 31.10.2022, his terminal benefits were belatedly paid only on 10.04.2023. The petitioner had sent a representation on 10.07.2023, seeking interest for the belated payment.

3. In view of the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% for the period between 01.11.2022 to 09.04.2023 for the belated payment of terminal benefits, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
