PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.224/2023 on the file of the respondent police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners/A2 to A4, who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 21.09.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 506(ii), 420 1/4

and 395 of IPC in Crime No.224 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seek bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 18.09.2023, as per the instructions of the first accused, the de-facto complainant and his friend Karthick took a sum of Rs.14,50,000/- went to meet the first accused in a car to purchase gold from him, at that time, the petitioners and other accused persons came there in a car in police uniform and one accused took the amount from the de-facto complainant and when it was questioned by the said Karthick, one accused threatened them with knife and took the amount and Karthick and lock the de-facto complainant and others in the car and went away and after that they dropped the said Karthick and took the money and cellphone from him. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are innocents and they have been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he seeks bail to the petitioners.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that in the present case, the respondent police has recovered Rs.2,17,000/- only and the balance is not yet recovered and the investigation is pending. hence, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Heard. Perused the materials available on record including the First 2/4

Information Report.

6. Considering the nature of allegation levelled against the petitioner is very serious in nature and also considering the fact that the investigation is pending, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
