ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to dispose the IDOP.No.306 of 2023, pending on the file of the Family Court, Thiruchirappalli within the time stipulated by this Court. 1/4

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for petitioner. Since the revision is filed for seeking early disposal, no notice is necessary to the respondents.

3. The learned Senior Counsel appearing for the revision petitioner would submit that the said IDOP was filed in the year 2022 in IDOP.No.22 of 2022 on the file of the Principal District Court, Chengalpattu and thereafter, the same was transferred to the Family Court, Chengalpattu and re-numbered as IDOP.No.35 of 2020. Whereas, the same was once again transferred to the file of the Family Court, Thiruchirppalli at the instance of the respondent by filing Tr.C.M.P.No.709 of 2022 filed before this Court and re-numbered as IDOP.No.306 of 2023 on the file of the Family Court, Thiruchirappalli. He would further submit that the said respondent has been merely protracting the matter by without contesting the same and has been taking adjournments every time without any valid reasons. In such circumstances, the petitioner has come forward with the present Civil Revision Petition seeking early disposal of the said IDOP.No.306 of 2023, pending on the file of the Family Court, Thiruchirappalli.

4. Having been taken into consideration of the material facts and 2/4

circumstances and that the IDOP is of the year 2020, this Court is of the view that in the interest of justice, a direction may be issued to the learned Judge, Family Court, Thiruchirapalli, to dispose of the said IDOP as expeditiously as possible.

5. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of with a direction to the learned Judge, Family Court, Thiruchirapalli to dispose of the petition in IDOP.No.306 of 2023, pending on his file within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
