Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first and second respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner and her family by considering the representation dated 26.08.2025. ORDER

The petitioner has sought for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.08.2025 by alleging that the parents of one Yuvarani, who had married the petitioner's second son, are threatening the petitioner with dire consequences, since the petitioner belongs to a lower caste.

2. In the light of the apprehension expressed by the petitioner, this Court is of the view that a direction can be issued to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.08.2025 and if the petitioner's apprehension is found to be true, to provide adequate police protection as prayed for.

3. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
