Heard Mr.K.Natarajan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel, for the respondents 1 and 2.

This Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Mandamus, directing the first respondent to conduct enquiry on petitioner's representation dated 06.02.2024 regarding disconnection of electricity service connection in the prayer mentioned property and direct the respondent authorities to cancel the service connection transferred in the name of the third respondent and restore the same in the name of the petitioner.

3. Considering the limited relief that has been sought for in the Writ Petition, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with. 2/4

4. The petitioner had made representation dated 06.02.2024 to the first respondent to conduct an enquiry and take action against the second respondent regarding disconnection of electricity connection in the petitioner's premises and transfer of electrical service connection in the name of the third respondent.

5. Considering the fact that the representation has been made by the petitioner to the first respondent, the first respondent shall consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.02.2024 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, third respondent and interested persons, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 08.11.2024 NCC:yes/no Index:yes/no Internet:yes/no Nsr 3/4
