ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to remove the petitioner's name from History Sheet bearing H.S.No.808 of 2024 within a time limit as may be stipulated by this Court by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.10.2024.
2. The petitioner sent a representation dated 23.10.2024 to the respondents seeking to remove his name from the history sheet in H.S. No.808 of 2024, since the petitioner had turned to a new lead and he is not involved in any criminal case. In the guise of enquiry the respondent are constantly the petitioner visiting the house of the petitioner at odd hours and disturbing his family members and neighbors, hence the present petition has been filed.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on the other hand submitted that the petitioner involved in criminal cases right from the year 2008. He was also involved in a case under Section 302 of IPC in 2/5
the year 2013 but he was acquitted in that case. Presently against the petitioner cases are pending in Crime Nos.289 of 2023 and 116 of 2024. There is justification in retaining the petitioner's name in the history sheet.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that he has sent a representation and according to him the above two pending cases are put up cases and the same to be considered.
5. In view of the same the respondent police is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.10.2024 and dispose of the same with in a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
