ORDER
The petitioners seek to quash the final report in FR.No.42 of 2024 dated 18.07.2024 on the file of the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thirupuvanam, which was filed for the offences under Section 341, 294(b), 324 and 506(2) IPC.
2. The allegation in the final report is that due to prior enmity, the petitioners abused the defacto complainant in filthy language, attacked him and threatened him with dire consequences and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.
3. Admittedly, the petitioners and the second respondent belong to the same village and they have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 15th September 2025 and the scanned copy of the compromise memo reads as follows:

The petitioners, namely, Sivasankaran (Aadhaar No.8924 4847 3996), Sivaprakash (Aadhaar No.2230 8227 4813) and the second respondent, namely, Nagaraj (Aadhaar No.6928 1554 6456) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.K.Rajamani, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Palayanoor Police Station, Sivagangai District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

In view of the same and considering the nature of the offences and the relationship between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned final report in FR.No.42 of 2024 dated 18.07.2024 is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. 15.09.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No Lm Note: Issue order copy by 18.09.2025.
