PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to complete the enquiry proceedings in the Patta Appeal No.Na.Ka.No.1226/2025/A3 filed by the petitioner in a time bound manner.

ORDER

The limited relief prayed for in this writ petition is the expeditious disposal of the appeal filed by the petitioner before the Revenue Divisional Officer for cancellation of the patta issued to the third and fourth respondent herein.

2.Learned Counsel for the petitioner relies on settlement deed dated 08.07.2011 as evidence of the petitioner's title. He submits that patta was erroneously issued to the third and the fourth respondent herein without proper verification.

3.Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the first and the second respondent. He submits that the appeal would be disposed of within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.In view of the nature of relief claimed and the nature of direction proposed to be issued, notice to the third and fourth respondent is dispensed with.

5.Without making any observations on the merits, the first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal seeking cancellation of the patta issued to the third and fourth respondent after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the third and fourth respondent. Such appeal shall be disposed of within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
