ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent Police to provide adequate police protection to her life and limb on the basis of her representation dated 21.08.2025.

2. Even according to the petitioner, the petitioner's brother and his legal heirs are rival claimants to the property in possession of the petitioner and the civil suit in O.S.No.223 of 2011 filed by the private respondents seeking partition has been dismissed by the Civil Court.

3. This Court is of the view that the averments in the petition disclose a civil dispute between the petitioner and the private respondents. The respondent Police cannot interfere in such disputes. Consequently, the police protection as prayed for by the petitioner cannot be granted. However, the petitioner is at liberty to seek appropriate remedy before the Civil Court. 2/4

4. The petitioner's apprehension is that she would be dispossessed from the property. If the private respondents commit any cognizable offence, it is needless to say that it is open to the petitioner to lodge a complaint.

5. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
