ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner / Accused No.5, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 14.10.2024 for the alleged offence under Section 399 of IPC, in Crime No.180 of 2018 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. This is a case of jumped bail where the NBW was issued against the petitioner on 03.01.2023 and ultimately, he was secured only on 13.10.2024 and produced before the Court.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side), on instructions, submitted that the case is now formally posted on 22.11.2024 for commencement of trial.

4. Considering the previous conduct of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to entertain this bail petition at the present stage. There should be some progress in the trial and thereafter, letting out the petitioner on bail can be considered. 2/3

5. In view of the above, this criminal original petition is dismissed for the present.
