Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioners' lands were acquired under the provisions of the National Highways Act and compensation was also paid. The petitioners are however not satisfied with the amount that was paid to them. They seek enhancement. 2/5

3. The first respondent is the authority competent to enhance the compensation. The first respondent is directed to pass appropriate order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter.

4. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
