ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the respondent Police to file final report in Crime No.29 of 2021 on the file of the respondent Police as expeditiously as possible within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the complainant, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.29 of 2021. He would further submit that they have already examined 12 witnesses and is yet to examine the defacto complainant, who is now in Srilanka. Hence, he seeks four months time to file final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.29 of 2021 before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
