PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the Additional District Court No.II, for PCR Act Cases, Tirunelveli to dispose the S.C.No.95 of 2017 and S.C.No.96 of 2017 within a stipulated time, as fixed by this Honble Court within a stipulated time, as fixed by this Honourable Court. ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to expedite the trial in S.C.No.95 of 2017 and S.C.No.96 of 2017 pending on the file the learned II Additional District and Sessions Judge (PCR Court), Tirunelveli.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an accused and he is facing trial for the offences under Sections 417,376, 506(i) of IPC r/w.Section 3(1)(w)(i) of SC/ST Act. She would also submit that the case is pending from the year 2017 and prays to dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible

3. The Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that both the case are taken under common trial and there are 37 witness in this https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD) No.19070 of 2019 case and the case is posted for the examination of official witnesses alone.

4. Under such circumstances , there shall be a direction to the learned II Additional District and Sessions Judge (PCR Court), Tirunelveli to dispose the case pending in S.C.No.95 of 2017 and S.C.No.96 of 2017 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and report compliance to this court after completion of the proceedings.

5. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
