ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a retired Senior Assistant Engineer working in the respondent Transport Corporation, who Voluntarily retired from service on 30.04.2022, seeking a mandamus to settle voluntary retirement compensation amount of Rs.64,583/- with interest at the rate of 6% per annum.

2. A perusal of the records reveal that the petitioner was permitted to go on Voluntary Retirement Scheme on 30.04.2022. However, the voluntary retirement compensation amount of Rs.64,583/- has not been disbursed for the past three years. Seeking the above said benefits, the petitioner has sent a representation on 30.09.2023.

3.Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to disburse the voluntary retirement compensation amount of Rs.64,583/- with interest at the rate of 6% from the due date till the date of realization within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of a receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
