ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his men while constructing concrete culvert in front of the petitioner's house by considering his representation, dated 06.10.2022.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has earlier filed a petition in W.P.(MD)No.19914 of 2022, seeking writ of mandamus, directing the Block Development Officer, Karambakudi Taluk, Pudukkottai, to either allow the petitioner to resume the concrete culvert in front of his house or reconstruct themselves, by considering his representation, dated 29.06.2022 within time stipulated by this Court and that this Court, considering the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, has observed that the petitioner is at liberty to do the work at his own cost and that the respondent shall 2/5
not disturb the same. He would further submit that in pursuance of the order, the petitioner gave a representation, dated 06.10.2022, but the second respondent has not passed any orders.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State would submit that the second respondent may be directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner. 4.Considering the above, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 06.10.2022 and pass orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
