The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the pending appeal made by the appellant before respondent No.1, dated 22.03.2008, filed under Section 80-A of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971, is directed to be disposed of within a reasonable time.

2.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no serious objection.

3.Considering the above, we direct respondent No.1 to dispose of the appeal, dated 22.03.2019, which is said to have been made by the appellant, if the same is not disposed of already, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
