ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent bank.
2. The petitioner is seeking a Mandamus for sanction of educational loan of Rs.5,24,000/- from the respondent bank.

The respondent bank had filed a counter affidavit stating that after considering the eligibility criteria, the bank had sanctioned a sum of Rs.84,829/- and the said amount had already been disbursed to the petitioner and now as the bank had not sanctioned the educational loan to the sum asked for, the petitioner has come before this Court.

The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent bank would submit that the petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste Community and is eligible for Government subsidy and waiver of tuition fee as per the notification and circular of the Government of India and considering all that, the above sum was sanctioned to the petitioner.

5. After some deliberations, the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent bank stated that it is open to the petitioner to apply for enhanced loan or additional loan by making separate application, which could be considered by the respondent.
6. As already the respondent bank had sanctioned educational loan to the petitioner as per eligible criteria, no further order can be passed in this writ petition and the same is closed. However, it is open to the petitioner to apply for an additional loan or enhanced loan by making a separate application in this regard to the respondent bank. No Costs.
