Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay interest at the rate of 18% per annum, for the period of delay from 28.02.2014 to 09.10.2015 in paying the amounts paid towards the terminal benefits within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner herein had already approached this Court in W.P.(MD)No.12339 of 2014 and this Court, on 02.09.2014, ordered for payment of interest on belated settlement of terminal benefits at the rate of 6%. As such, the present claim of interest once again at the rate of 18% cannot be sustained. Hence the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
