This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to transfer the case in C.C.No.244 of 2018 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Dindigul, to any other nearby district. Page No. 1 of 4

2. The petitioner is an accused facing trial for the alleged offences under Sections 448, 341, 294(b), and 506(ii) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, in C.C.No.244 of 2018 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Dindigul.

3. The reason for seeking transfer is that the petitioner is aggrieved by "influenced treatment met out in the Hon'ble Judicial Magistrate Court No.III, Dindigul"; and that the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III is related to one Jeyaseelan, who is a police officer.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the first respondent would submit that the petitioner has made many attempt to stall the trial; that he had challenged the direction issued under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, which was dismissed; that he had also failed in his attempt to quash the proceedings; that thereafter, the discharge petition filed by him was dismissed and the challenge to the said order was also dismissed; and that, in any case, there is no reason to transfer the case.

5. It is not clear from the petition as to what type of influenced treatment the petitioner was subjected to. The petitioner has further stated that one Jeyaseelan, a police officer, is closely related to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Dindigul. However, the petitioner has not stated as to how the said Jeyaseelan is connected with the case. The reasons for seeking transfer are vague. There is, therefore, no reason to transfer the case as prayed for by the petitioner.
