This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the third respondent to issue patta as per the recommendations of the second respondent dated 23.08.2022 with regard to 78 cents in East Part of Survey No.325/1, Aaladiyur part - II Village Ambasamuthiram Taluk, Tirunelveli District to the petitioner.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner confined his prayer to a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 06.01.2020 within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.
3. In response, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered and disposed of on merits by the first respondent in accordance with law, within the time frame stipulated by this Court.
4. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a 2/4
direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.01.2020 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
