Prayer in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.18972 of 2022:- Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to direct the Special Court for trial Cases registered under Section SC/ST (POA) Act Cases, Dindigul to consider the bail application of the same day of the Petitioner's surrender in respect of Crime No.382 of 2022 on the file of the second Respondent.
ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/s.P.Sarvanan, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr.R.Suresh Kumar, Government Advocate for the 1st & 2nd respondents, this Court made the following order:
"This petition has been filed to extend the time limit of the 1/3
petitioner to surrender before the learned Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under SC/ST (POA) Act, Dindigul. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that this petitioner's son and husband were arrested by the second respondent Police and this Court had granted bail to them in Crl.O.P.(MD). No.782 of 2022 dated 29.11.2022. Hence, the petitioner was not able to surrender himself before the concerned Court for filing bail application and as a result, the due time imposed on the petitioner lapsed.
3.In view of the same, time granted by this Court vide order dated 09.11.2022 is extended further for a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
