ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to take necessary action based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.08.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsels on either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner is the only legal heir of his parents. The land in question was in the possession of his father one Karuppaiah Chettiar and now in the possession of the petitioner. The Patta and the ownership of the said land stand in the name of the petitioner. However, without verification of the same, the respondents have permitted construction of the house under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). In view of the same, the petitioner made a representation on 03.08.2024 to take action against the persons who have encroached over the same.

In view of the same, this Court hereby direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.08.2024 and initiate an enquiry in this regard and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
