appointing the new Enquiry Officer in order to conduct fair and transparent departmental enquiry in pursuant to the charge memo issued by the 3rd respondent vide his proceedings in Tha.Pa.No.88 of 2024 dated 24.08.2024 and by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2024 within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed by a Sub Inspector of Police working in the Orthanadu Police Station, Thanjavur District, seeking a mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to transfer the venue of enquiry to any other district other than Thanjavur District and appoint another Enquiry Officer to conduct fair and transparent Departmental Enquiry.
2. The petitioner herein was issued with a charge memo on 24.08.2024, and the fifth respondent herein was appointed as an Enquiry Officer. The fifth respondent had posted the enquiry to be conducted at Thanjavur. Having some grievance over the Enquiry Officer as well as the venue of enquiry, the petitioner has given a representation on 04.11.2024. Since, the representation was not considered by the authorities, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/4
3. Pending writ petition, the second respondent has passed an order on 06.11.2024, appointing DSP-DCRB, Thiruvarur District as Enquiry Officer. The petitioner is satisfied with the change of the Enquiry Officer as well as the venue mentioned in the said proceedings.
4. In view of the above said facts, nothing survives to be adjudicated in this writ petition. This Writ Petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
