This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to make the payment of 5% and another payment of Rs.9,50,000/- for the DRDA 2007-2008 in package No.VI 17/30 under the scheme of Pirthanmanthiri Grama Sadak Pojana, Thanjavur District and 2.5 % of the amount retained with the respondent for the work done during the year 2007-2008 in 12th Grant Commission work and pursuant to the representation, dated 13.04.2017.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the representation, dated 13.04.2017 is pending before the first respondent and if the petitioner submits fresh representation, the respondent is ready to consider the same.
3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader and also the limited prayer now sought for, without entering into the merits of the case, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the competent authority within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt 2/4
of copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the competent authority is directed to consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks thereafter.
4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
