ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The writ petitioner was given license to fish in the petition mentioned tank. The license period commenced on 08.09.2023 and concluded on 08.10.2023. The case of the petitioner is that some of the villagers raised objection without any justification and prevented the petitioner from exercising his right as licensee. This happened on 26.09.2023. The petitioner lodged complaint before Paramakudi Town Police Station leading to registration of Crime No.310 of 2023. As a result, the petitioner could not engage in fishing for five days. The petitioner states that the loss of these five days should be appropriately compensated by extension of the lease period. This is a call which the Tahsildar, Paramakudi must take. The petitioner has already given the 2/4

request before the third respondent. The third respondent shall pass an order on the petitioner's representation by 01.11.2023 evening itself. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. 3.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
