Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, by directing the 2nd respondent to provide adequate permission and protection for conducting "Kodai Vizha" from 13.09.2025 to 15.09.2025 in Arulmigu Ramasamy Temple situated in Veeraputhiranadanoor, Thippanampatti Village, Tenkasi Taluk, Tenkasi District, on basis of the petitioner's representation dated 06.08.2025. ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus to direct the second respondent to provide adequate permission and protection for conducting "Kodai Vizha" from 13.09.2025 to 15.09.2025 in Arulmigu Ramasamy Temple situated in Veeraputhiranadanoor, Thippanampatti Village, Tenkasi Taluk, Tenkasi District, on basis of the petitioner's representation dated 06.08.2025.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that there are disputes between the petitioner and the rival group with regard to conduct of Kodai Vizha; that there is also a civil suit pending in O.S.No.730 of 2023 on the file of the Sub Court, Tenkasi between the two parties; that therefore the respondents cannot grant permission to conduct Kodai Vizha; and that however, the petitioner can worship the deity during the aforesaid period. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor also undertakes that the decision taken by the respondents would be communicated to the petitioner immediately.

3. In view of the aforesaid submission, this Court is of the view that no Writ can be issued as prayed for. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed.
