ORDER
The petitioner has sought for quashing of the impugned final report in P.R.C.No.19 of 2023 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Pattukottai, Thanjavur District.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that due to money dispute, the petitioner and other accused had abused the defacto complainant in filthy language and attacked him with deadly weapons and caused injuries to him.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner at the time of occurrence, the petitioner was a juvenile and his date of birth is 14.12.1992. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor confirms that the petitioner was a juvenile.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the defacto complainant/the second respondent would submit that the parties have now entered into a compromise and both the parties have agreed that the impugned final report may be quashed.
5. The parties have also filed a joint compromise memo dated 8th August 2025 as well as the affidavit of the defacto complainant / second respondent. The scanned copy of the compromise memo reads as follows: 2/10

6. The petitioner (Aadhaar No.3216 9531 5968) and the second respondent (Aadhaar No.5772 8034 2342) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.K.Rajagopal, S.S.I., Madukkur Police Station. Both the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

Considering the nature of allegation, the fact that the petitioner was a Juvenile at the time of occurrence and since the parties have arrived at a compromise, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned final report in P.R.C. No. 19 of 2023 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Pattukottai, Thanjavur District, is hereby quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
