ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the 2nd respondent to withdraw the case in Crime No. 308 of 2024 dt 21.08.2024 on the file of the 5th respondent and entrust the same to the 3rd respondent or any other competent officials for completion of investigation in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the defacto complainant on whose instance, an FIR in Crime No. 308 of 2024 has also been registered for the offence under Section 194 BNS, with respect to the suspicious death of the petitioner's son. However, there is no progress in the investigation.

3. The learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submitted that after completion of investigation, the final report has been filed as 'further action dropped' and RCS notice has also been served on the petitioner.

4. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the final report, by filing a protest petition in accordance with law.
