ORDER

The petitioners seek to quash the final report in C.C.No.725 of 2024 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Tirunelveli, which was filed for the offences under Section 294(b), 324, 506(2) and 120B of IPC.

2. The allegation in the final report is that the first accused conspired with the other accused and abused the defacto complainant in filthy language and attacked him with an iron rod and threatened him with dire consequences.

3. Admittedly, the petitioners and the second respondent are residing in the same Village and they have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo and the scanned copy of the compromise memo reads as follows: 2/8

The petitioners, namely, Alagumuthu (Aadhaar No.8809 4046 0330), Gurunathan (Aadhaar No.7757 6392 1691) and the second respondent, namely, Loganathan (Aadhaar No.8717 0336 8188) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.S.A.Subramanian, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Tirunelveli Taluk Police Station, Tirunelveli District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5. In view of the same and considering the nature of the offences and the relationship between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned final report in C.C.No.725 of 2024 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Tirunelveli against all the accused is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. 11.09.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No Lm 6/8
