PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to issue police clearance certificate to the petitioner based on the petitioner's PCC application in file number: MD1086924897924, dated 29.10.2024 within a stipulated time period and pass such other or further orders as this Court. 1/5

ORDER
By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2.This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to issue police clearance certificate to the petitioner based on the petitioner's PCC application in file number: MD1086924897924, dated 29.10.2024.
3.Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for R1 and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for R2 to R4. 2/5
4.The petitioner already possesses a Passport bearing Registration No.T2138988 in the year 2019 itself. In view of the job opportunity which has opened to the petitioner in Hungary for which the petitioner has applied, the petitioner is expecting that he would be called for visa interview in the mid of November 2024. On such expectation, he has applied for police verification certificate in the first respondent office by an application dated 29.10.2024, bearing No.MD1086924897924, though the petitioner was residing at Ellis Nagar in Madurai District for several years, which falls under the jurisdiction limit of the third respondent herein. After the demise of his father, he moved to another rental house in a place called Sikkandarsavadi in Madurai District, which falls under the jurisdiction of the fourth respondent.
Hence, the petitioner has applied for working visa from his erstwhile address, since the said address has been reflected in his passport. Despite his application for issuance of police clearance certificate, the same has not been issued so far. Hence, this writ petition came to be filed.
5.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 2 to 4, on instructions, submitted that, no criminal case is pending as against the petitioner under the jurisdictional limit of the third and the fourth respondent herein.

6.In view of the same, this Court is of the considered opinion that there cannot be any impediment for the authorities to process the petitioner's application and issue a police clearance certificate. The third respondent is directed to forward the application of the petitioner forthwith and on receipt of the same, the first respondent is directed to issue police clearance certificate within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to the effect that the petitioner is expecting to receive the visa by Mid of November 2024.
7.With the above said directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
