ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Village Assistant challenging an order of suspension, dated 31.12.2022 on the ground enquiry has not yet been initiated and it is a prolonged suspension.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submits that the petitioner has already submitted his explanation and an Enquiry Officer has been appointed. He further submits that the enquiry would be completed in an expeditious manner. This Court does not find any reason to interfere in the order of suspension. However, the respondents are directed to complete the enquiry within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

3. With the above said observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
