ORDER

The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner had filed this Writ Petition seeking Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents 1 and 2, to extend police protection, to cut and remove the dangerous, old tree (Banyan tree), based on the proceedings of the District Collector, Thanjavur, in Na.Ka.Ni.See.1/14923/2018, dated 07.09.2023.

2.The The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), on instructions of the Respondents, would submit that they are ready to give protection to cut and remove the trees.

3.Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Respondent Police to extend the police protection to cut and remove the trees. The same may be done within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Petitioner is directed to take steps for removal of trees by bearing the cost for the same for the labourers employed by him. No costs. 27.02.2024 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No mm TO:
