ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition filed, under Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the first and third respondents to provide necessary police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and her family members from the fifth to eighth respondents based on her representation, dated 18.11.2022.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner as well as the fourth respondent, cases were registered in CSR.Nos.438 and 435 of 2022, 2/5
respectively, and the investigation is pending. Despite receipt of summons, the parties have not turned up.
3. At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is ready to appear before the second respondent police.
4. In view of the above submissions made by both sides, the petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent police and on such appearance, the second respondent police is directed to proceed with the enquiry and dispose of the same within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
