O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 29.11.2021 and consequently, direct the first respondent to appoint the petitioner in any suitable post on compassionate grounds.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the the petitioner's father one Murugesan served as Assistant to the Village Administrative Officer, died in harness on 27.02.1993. After attaining the age of majority, the petitioner made an application on 19.02.1996 for any suitable post on compassionate ground. But, till date, no order was passed. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition with the aforesaid prayer.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner made an application in the year 1996, however, as on date, the said application has not been considered. Subsequently, the same was forwarded by the District Collector to the Revenue District Officer on 28.02.2019. But, till date, no order was passed. Hence, this Court may issue a direction to the third respondent to conclude the proceedings of the first respondent, dated 28.02.2019 and accordingly, he prayed for appropriate orders.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, directs the third respondent to pass orders on the proceedings of the first respondent dated 28.02.2019 and taking into account the representation of the petitioner dated 29.11.2021, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
