ORDER:- This Criminal Appeal Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.S.Vijaya Kumar, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr.K.Vinayagan, Advocate for the respondent, this Court made the following order:

1. The matter is listed today under the caption "for reporting compliance."

2. The learned counsel for the respondent submitted that the order of this Court dated 03.02.2025, has been complied with and to that effect, cost memo was also filed.

3. The learned counsel for the appellant also admitted the receipt of entire consideration.

4.In view of the amount received by the appellant from the respondent, the offence under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act stands compounded under Section 147 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.

5. Accordingly, the conviction and sentence imposed by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Madurai, in S.T.C.No.153 of 2005 dated 31.05.2011, is hereby set aside. The accused is acquitted from the charges levelled against him. Bail bond if any, executed by the accused shall stand cancelled.
